We have highly qualified experienced pathologists that can help you with the routine cases and the very complex. Dr. Walberg, Dr. Monette and Dr. Mero resumes are available on this web-site under “Our Pathologists”. They are available to discuss with you any case that you have questions with on, in a timely fashion. The Pathology lab is owned exclusively by four veterinarians: * Dr. James Walberg is a
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology since 1981. He has
extensive experience in reading both Histopathology as well as Cytology. He
served residencies in pathology at the Angell Memorial Hospital in Boston, as
well as the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. He was a teaching associate
at Texas A & M University and did a postdoctoral program at The
Rockefeller University. He also spent a few years at the Bronx Zoo studying
wild life pathology. Dr Walberg worked as a pathologist in research in the
United States as well as Switzerland. * Dr. Andrew Loar is a Diplomate of the American College of
Veterinary Internal Medicine, certified in Oncology as well as Internal
Medicine. He currently is a
consultant in cytology at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Loar’s training as a clinical oncologist
and an internist, combined with his twenty years of experience within the
veterinary laboratory industry, are assets in providing quality control and
clinician oriented customer service. * Dr. Dennis Moore is a retired private practitioner and is
the managing partner of Animal Pathology Group. Dr. Moore practiced in South California for 24 years and
gives the prospective of the practitioner to the group. * Dr. Lon Rich is also a
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary
Pathology. Reasons that we are different: 1)
We as
veterinarians fully understand your needs as a practitioner. We realize that your reputation is
based on accurate and timely results and we have set up a facility and staff
that can deliver both of these in a professional and courteous manner. 2)
Another
reason we are different is because we understand that your time is
valuable. When you call us you
will get a live person on the phone to solve your problem and not a recording
that wastes your time with promises of a call back. 3)
Animal
Pathology Group employees are reminded throughout their training and
employment that every specimen we receive is important and that there is an
owner waiting on information from their veterinarian regarding that
specimen. Your submissions will
be handled with care and monitored for utmost quality during every phase of
processing from logging in to microscopic evaluation. 4)
Animal
Pathology Group operates under strict guidelines in compliance with the Federal
Good Laboratory Practices Act (GLP). If you have an interest in our services give Vicky our
Office Manager a call 800-345-7284 or e-mail her at animalpathgroup@aol.com and she
will send you the necessary requisition forms to try us out. |
